Fancourt is South Africa’s premier golf resort, with all three of our golf courses ranked in the Top 20 in South Africa (2014/15 Golf Digest  SA rankings).  The Links is ranked No. 1 in South Africa by Golf Digest SA and No. 34 in the world by the USA Golf Digest.  The Montagu is ranked No. 6 and the Outeniqua No. 17 by Golf Digest, SA.

Since opening in the early 90's with just 27 Gary Player-designed holes, Fancourt’s Outeniqua and Montagu golf courses have matured and developed into two of the finest 18-hole parkland layouts in the country. A round on either is a special experience, sculpted and finished as they are, with rare attention to detail and designed with the coastal George winds in mind.

In addition, Fancourt has an exceptional golf academy that houses a state-of-the-art teaching facility, backed up by the expertise of PGA professionals. To keep golfers looking the part, there are two well-stocked pro shops, offering a wide variety of clothing, accessories and hardware.

Ernie Els & Fancourt Foundation

The ERNIE ELS & FANCOURT FOUNDATION was established in 2006  with the purpose of identifying and assisting young talented individuals, in golf, predominantly from families of limited resources and to deliver to them educational assistance and playing opportunities in order to produce successful young leaders and develop their playing ability to its full potential.
Some of the most notable graduates from The Foundation include Louis Oosthuizen, 2010 British Open champion, and Lee-anne Pace, winner of the 2010 Ladies European Order of Merit.

At 24, Branden Grace is the latest Ernie Els & Fancourt Foundation member to make it big in the world of professional golf, winning back-to-back events on the European Tour in January 2012 to jump into the top 100 in the World rankings.

“If the Foundation hadn’t been a part of my life then, who knows where I’d be today?  I may never have known what I could achieve.”  Branden Grace

In October he captured his fourth European Tour title of 2012 with a two-shot victory in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, played at Saint Andrews, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns.

Brendan Grace began the year ranked 264th and is currently ranked 37th in the official world golf rankings.
